Every month (four sessions), we draw simple graphic novels in various styles while exploring aspects of visual storytelling.

STORY SKETCHERS is a "graphic novel" drawing class. Sure, the graphic novels are only four pages long, but they introduce you to layout, storytelling, camera angles, backgrounds, mood, lighting techniques and lots, lots more. Prices listed at checkout are per household, so all your 12-18 year old graphic storytellers can join Super Sketchers for one low price! We have templates for you to print that will help you to follow the lesson. Classes are grouped into four week books with different themes. Three sessions are live, step by step. The fouth session is recorded and you get to finish the story on your own (or follow my finish step-by-step if you'd rather). Every year, the books we draw are new, so you can come back to Story Sketchers and just keep improving with new content!

A Pencil and Eraser
Nothing special...just functional.
Two or Three Ink Pens
Fine, medium, large tip. Sharpies work just fine.
Colored Pencils, Crayons or Markers
2-3 of each color is helpful (ie. light, medium, dark green).
Occasionally a Ruler and a Mirror
In a pinch, any straight edge and a selfie will do the trick.
